Special Rules & Notes
Important notes for this license
- 125 PDUs (Professional Development Units) required per 5-year renewal cycle
- For licenses expiring through June 30, 2026: PDU requirement reduced by 37 (one-time reduction only)
- PDU reporting reinstated for licenses expiring on or after July 1, 2029; some transition provisions apply for 2026-2029 renewals
- Renewal application and fee submitted through TSPC eLicense portal
- TSPC recommends applying no less than 10 days and no more than 90 days before expiration
- Failure to report PDUs (when required) results in a return to the Substitute Teaching License

How to Submit Your Hours
