Important notes for this license

  • Certificate expires September 30 in the fifth year following issuance or renewal
  • Teachers with at least 0.5 FTE teaching experience in the last 5 years may renew without additional coursework
  • Teachers without qualifying experience must complete 6 semester credit hours related to their endorsement area(s)
  • Coursework must not duplicate prior coursework taken within the past 10 years
  • Minimum passing grade of C required for renewal coursework
  • Renewal submitted through the Nebraska TEACH online portal at education.ne.gov/tcert
