Special Rules & Notes

Important notes for this license

  • 90 PDPs required per 5-year renewal cycle, logged in IPDP
  • PDPs must include the same four required focus areas as the Professional Educator Certificate
  • Advanced Professional Certificate requires a master's degree or equivalent graduate credits
  • Beginning July 1, 2025: scientific reading instruction proficiency requirement applies to relevant license areas
  • Renewal submitted through the TEACH Dashboard
  • Renewal fee: $10 per certificate ($1.50 additional for online payment)
