Special Rules & Notes
Important notes for this license
- 90 clock hours of professional development required during the five years preceding the renewal application
- At least 45 of the 90 hours must relate directly to the educator's work with students or staff
- Educators employed by a Delaware public or charter school have their hours verified and approved by the district human resources office
- Educators not employed by a Delaware public or charter school have hours verified by the Department
- Clock hours must have taken place during the term of the current Continuing License
- Renewal becomes available approximately six months prior to the expiration date
- Renewal submitted through the DEEDS Educator Dashboard — click 'Renew My License/Permit' button
